Lid & Base Box

A lid and base box (also called heaven and earth cover box) features a separate lid that lifts off the base. This classic two-piece rigid box design provides excellent product protection and creates an elegant unboxing experience, making it ideal for luxury packaging.

Lid and base boxes are constructed with a rigid greyboard core (800-2000gsm) covered with premium surface materials including coated paper, white cardstock, special textured papers, leather (PU or genuine), or flannel fabric. The combination provides both structural strength and luxurious appearance.

Depending on the greyboard thickness (800-2000gsm), our lid and base boxes can hold products from small jewelry items up to 5kg. For heavy items like watches, cosmetics bottles, or electronics, we recommend thicker greyboard with reinforced construction.

Yes, we offer fully custom sizes, shapes, materials, colors, and finishing options. Custom dielines and tooling may apply for non-standard sizes. Our team provides free design consultation to help optimize your packaging for production efficiency.

We offer offset printing (CMYK, Pantone), digital printing, foil stamping (gold/silver/rose gold/holographic), embossing, debossing, spot UV, soft-touch lamination, and more. These finishing options can be combined for unique premium effects.

MOQ is 500 pieces for standard sizes. For custom sizes, materials, or complex designs, MOQ starts at 500-1,000 pieces. Sample orders of 3-5 pieces are available for quality assessment before bulk orders.

Lid and base boxes are typically shipped assembled or partially assembled due to their rigid structure. However, for large quantities, we offer flat-shipped options where boxes are knocked down (KD) and assembled upon arrival to reduce shipping costs.

We offer EVA foam, flannel-covered foam, paper partitions, cardboard dividers, sponge inserts, and silk fabric linings. Custom inserts are cut precisely to fit your product for maximum protection and presentation.

Yes, we use recyclable greyboard and water-based inks. FSC-certified materials are available on request. We also offer recycled paper options and biodegradable foam alternatives for environmentally conscious brands.

Standard production takes 10-15 working days. Sample production is 5-7 days. Rush orders (7-10 days) are available with 15-20% surcharge. Sea freight: 20-35 days; air freight: 5-7 days.
